Family Life Youth and Multi Cultural Centre
WHO WE ARE
The Family Life Youth & Multicultural Centre (FLYMC) is a community-driven organization committed to empowering youth and fostering multicultural unity. Our mission is to create a welcoming space where individuals from all walks of life can connect, learn, and grow.
Through engaging programs, educational support, and cultural initiatives, we strive to build a stronger, more inclusive community.
At FLYMC, we believe in the power of mentorship, creativity, and collaboration to inspire positive change. Whether you’re looking to develop new skills, find a sense of belonging, or contribute to meaningful projects, you’ll find a home here. To meet the needs of our community, we launched a counselling program offering both individual and group support, alongside weekly life skills workshops.
We also introduced a mentorship program for youth focused on civic responsibility, personal development, and career exploration, as well as arts-based classes in music, drama, dance, and visual arts to support creative learning.
Community engagement activities such as camping, hiking, celebrations, and recreational outings are held throughout the year and supported by volunteers. We remain committed to supporting at-risk youth, working closely with families, schools, and legal representatives to address behavioral challenges and promote positive outcomes.
While regular contributions from members help sustain our programs, additional fundraising efforts including events and community sales have been necessary to meet growing demand. In the past year alone, we served over 750 individuals, and the need for dedicated space, trained personnel, and ongoing financial support continues to increase as we expand our impact.

We exist to facilitate the growth and development of families. We hope to make a specific impact on under privileged members of the community by focusing on arts and culture, life skills, health, and the social well being of the community.

Our vision is for every family to have a strong sense of confidence in their homes and personal abilities. We envision safer neighborhoods and individuals equipped to lead productive and fulfilling lives.
